The department of education of the Tanzania Assemblies of God (TAG), is implementing an improvement plan of all their Bible colleges countrywide. In january 2016 a new building that can accomodate more than 200 male students at the Central Bible College (CBC), was launched in a ceremony officiated by the Archbishop of the Tanzanina Assemblies of God, Rev, Dr. Barnabas Mtokambali. The project was financed in partnership between "Priority One" from USA and the Department of education of TAG.
Speaking before the launching, the guest of honour Dr. Sam Johnson from USA who is also the main financier of the project said this project was in keeping with the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, of making disciples of all nations. Dr. Johnson further said that this college (CBC), will attract many ministers to join for their Diploma, Undergraduate and Graduate courses equiping them to be better ministers. He said he believed that CBC wil be a cetre of excelence in theological education in Tanzania and beyond.
On his part the ArchBishop of the Tanzania Assemblies of God, Rev. Dr. Barnabas Mtokambali said when he looks at the building, and when he considers the historical background given by the director of Education, he sees beyond the millions of shillings used. In fact he sees millions of souls in Africa and beyond who will turn to Christ as a result of education offered in this college. He said a decade of harvest has seen the first seven years of success and that in the remaining three years we must work even harder as a mtter of death or life to harvest Tanzania for Jesus.
The ArchBishop thanked Dr. Sam Johnson and the "Priority One" for their generous giving, the Director of Education department of education Rev. Jonas Mkoba for his dedication in supervising the project and everyone who participated in any way to make the project a success.
